Fuel The Fire
DESIGN, ILLUSTRATION & ART DIRECTION
A static colourful camp-in-the-forest installation that transformed in to a magical AR woodland complete with roaming wild animals, flowers and raging camp fire when scanned with the Blippar app.
During the summit, the AR camp fire became a hub for conversation and debate on REMIX talks. Allowing attendees to express their views, post questions and view other attendees opinions on lectures from the conference.
We wanted delegates to return to our campfire scene over and over again to engage with the Blipp. To acheive this, we create a backdrop to our campfire scene, that changes throughout the day – much like a timelapse video.
Each topic of conversation is posed on this backdrop for all to see. Instructions explain how to download and use Blippar.
People have always shared ideas, but now technology is the fire around which we tell our stories. We invited delegates to come and sit around the Blippar Campfire. It’s a space for sharing stories and ideas, and continuing the conversations started in the seminars.
Our set is less campsite, more wild camping in the woods. It is minimalist and uncluttered. Large statement pieces take precedent over volume. Classic American camping iconography is used – bear, forest, fire, stag.
A question pops up relating to a recent seminar, delegates are invited to share their views.
The fire grows with each new comment, causing the screens of watching participants to glow brighter.
